What We Do

Cleaning Essentials makes it easy to create simple, effective household cleaners that are safe, natural, and non-toxic. We sell beautiful, durable containers and organic ingredients to take the guesswork out of homemade cleaning recipes.

Who We Are

Cleaning Essentials is the brainchild of Martha and Mike, urban homesteaders living in a small town in Western New York. They have three beautiful children and a backyard full of chickens. Mike has been creating natural cleaning products for years. Martha wanted cleaners for their home that were effective and safe for the whole family — that would be more in line with their healthy and sustainable lifestyle.

A New Realm of Clean Living

Hence the birth of Cleaning Essentials — attractive cleaning bottles and supplies, with all the guidance you need to make your own cleaning products in moments with ingredients from your pantry. The products work wonders, smell great, and are totally safe for the kids. Martha and Mike love the effectiveness of their homemade cleaners. And the side benefit for them? Their kids love nothing more than to zoom around the house spraying and cleaning surfaces and toys. Their little farmhouse has never been cleaner!

We invite you to explore our website and line of products – and to let us know how we can help your family live a chemical-free lifestyle.
